Functional reading, writing and calculation program for women in nomadic camps.
In pastoral areas, the female illiteracy rate historically exceeded 80%. Access to reading and arithmetic is essential to enable women to manage the household budget and cooperatives.
Classes taught by local educators take place in the afternoon under the tent. The method is based on concrete situations: weighing milk, inventory management and writing receipts.
Graduates of the program take the leadership of water committees and craft cooperatives, strengthening their decision-making role within the nomadic community.
